As you would’ve seen, Badger Australia ran a campaign in December to donate $1 for every order placed during the month. The results were awesome and allowed us to donate the equivalent of 2,660 meals to the organisation!

These will be given to Australians in need who are experiencing food insecurity!

Who is SecondBite?

In Australia, we throw away an unbelievable amount of perfectly edible food every day. At the same time, a growing number of Australians find themselves struggling to make ends meet. In the course of a year, more than 1 in 6 experience food insecurity in Australia – that’s 4 million people.

While solving the problem of food insecurity for 4 million Australians requires a comprehensive set of approaches, SecondBite is playing an important part in providing access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need across Australia every day.

In the 2018/2019 financial year, SecondBite rescued 19.4 million kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables, equivalent to nearly 40 million meals for people in need, that is providing over 100,000 meals every single day.
